AR/VR IN
   ENTERTAINMENT

In recent years we have seen an explosion in AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) technologies on a broader range of devices. By providing sensory experiences that blur the line between the digital and the physical world, these technologies have facilitated an "extension" of Reality. The most significant difference between AR and VR lies in their approaches. Augmented Reality typically enhances images from a camera, often a cellphone camera, to introduce a digital shape into the "real-world" image. Emblematic examples include the "try with AR" function, which allows users to preview how certain products would look and fit in a determined location by using a smartphone camera and projecting a virtual model of the product over the captured image in real-time. Virtual reality systems use virtual reality headsets or multi-projection environments to produce realistic images, sounds, and other sensations that mimic the user's physical presence in the virtual environment. People using virtual reality devices can look around the entire artificial world, move through it and interact with virtual features or objects. The effect is usually created with a head-mounted display, a VR head-mounted display with a small screen in front of the eye, but can also be created with specially designed rooms with multiple large screens. VR usually involves auditory and video feedback, but other sensory and force feedback may also be possible through haptic technology.

Psychologists point out that the purpose of media entertainment is the fulfillment of gratification. This pursuit of satisfaction has led to the development of many entertainment platforms throughout history. The entertainment industry has certainly come a long way from the early days of bonfire storytelling and court entertainment to modern games, television, and movies. We all know that the only certainty that exists is change. The entertainment industry is about to be revolutionized through modern immersive technologies such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

Why are Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality so good for entertainment? It makes the audience an active participant in the show rather than a passive viewer. Virtual Reality takes a more immersive approach, often using special glasses and headphones to block out external images and audio and deliver a completely digital experience. These devices use cameras and gyroscopes to track the user's movements and provide immersive simulations that give the user the feeling of being in a virtual world. Many people believe that the fun experiences we enjoy today (movies, games, music, sports, etc.) More accurate, more immersive, and more interactive than ever before. Augmented reality and virtual reality technologies are among the biggest reasons for this shift. On this website, you can check some of the entertainment areas where AR/VR is being used today: Metaverse, TVMovie, Games, Sports/Stadium, Museums and Art Galleries, Amusement and Theme Parks, and Music Shows and Concerts.
